I got in the mail this package about a great trip so I contacted my friend and we thought what the heck we'll call and see what it was about what did we have to lose!!! So we called and it sounded great. We signed up for it. Then later that night we were talking about it and something just didn't feel right so we called and cancelled, they agreed after much fighting and arguing that we could cancel. They gave us a confirmation number and all sound legit right so we thought great that was taken care of and that would be the end of it Wrong it was just the beginning.
About three days later my friend gets a call from her credit card company informing her that Ramada has tried to take 5 different payments off her credit card on of those being for 800.00 more that what the trip was supposed to be! So we called the Ramada back and asked them what game they were playing at and got disconnected. Called them right back and was disconnected for the second time (getting angrier by the min now) Called one more time and told them that if they disconnected us again we were going to the police Wow that got results they spoke to us and again confirmed that the trip was cancelled and they did not know why the payments were trying to be taken out but would look into it. About a month later with no activity on the card my friend started to make payments on her card (it was maxed out when we signed up for the trip) and then the phone calls started for the first week they were 1 - 2 a day and then the 2nd week they were every hour and no one would say anything finally a man asked to speak to my friend when I asked who he was and what he wanted with her he told me that he was from Ramada Resorts and I told him that the trip was cancelled and he then got rude and then hung up.
I called back and talked to a lady at customer Service and informed her that if I got one more call from them I was going to the police and was pressing charges of harrassment and whatever else I could think of. Has anyone else gone through this and how did they get it to stop?
