We had booked an online reservation through Priceline.com for a brief but much needed vacation for us. We were on the phone with the Priceline representative booking this reservation while asking questions when after the reservations were made my fiancee noticed after the confirmation that there will be an extra $165 hotel and resort fee charged by the Hotel at check-in, this was definitely not mentioned to us by the representative at Priceline and she assured us that our cost of $187.11 for 3 nights May 28th - May 31st including taxes, fees, key deposit and everything. After noticing this $165 fee that we are going to be charged by the hotel/resort we contacted them and spoke with 2 different representatives and both stated this is a common occurrence customers have when dealing with Priceline and they (the hotel) have to end updealing with furiated customers.
After contacting Priceline and speaking with several different agents we had our claim escalated through Priceline and
assured them we were never told that extra fees would apply of any kind, well the answered emailed was that "no refund can be given." The hotel stated there was nothing that we could do because the reservations and booking
was made through Priceline.com. This is a prime of an business taking advantage of not only us, but other customers as well. What was supposed to be a much needed brief vacation now turned into added stress, no refund, lost money, lost vacation time, and no vacation. It never ceases to amaze me these days what some businesses will do to take advantage of their customers, Sad. Is there anyone, an agency, or some business, that can "Help" us get our money back.
