I purchased a domestic airline ticket for my fiancee on line from the Philippine Airlines (PAL) website in British Columbia. I received my copy of this ticket and read through it carefully. All was in order, yet when my fiancee presented the ticket at check-in, the PAL agent canceled the ticket since she did not have the VISA card or photocopies of the card with her. This was impossible for her since I am in Canada and she is in the Philippines. This policy of PAL existed on their Philippine website and not on the one I used to purchase this ticket from Canada. I received no notice of this policy and my fiancee had her passport with her. She was forced to buy another ticket. I sent 2 emails to the PAL refund email address I was given by PAL staff in the Philippines. They never sent any replies or gave any explanation why I was not informed of this requirement.
