I agreed to this "dream" vacation in april.3 days in ft. Lauderdale, 2 day cruise to the bahamas, free admission to disney, free rental car, i thought i couldn't go wrong. The ultra nice rep. On the phone assured me that this was not a time-share and i could cancel for a full refund up to 60 days before the 18 month period was over. You have to book your trip within 18 months of signing up.
Today, july 16, i called to cancel my trip. Mostly because of what i read here, but also because now i have a baby on the way. It is just not feasable for me to make monthly payments for something i cannot afford anyway. As it turns out this is just a time-share presentation. On the last page of the huge booklet they send you it says that this material is being used for the purpose of soliciting sales of a vacation ownership plan.
Luckily for me i was paying monthly and only lost $220 to these scumbags. Apparently a lot of people paid in full and lost it all. Everything i read here with reguard to getting a refund is true. They kept putting me on hold, i went through two cordless phones before finally talking to me. The guy i talked to kept interrupting me or just talking over me when i would attempt to say something in response to his arguement.
Basically it came down to the fact that they are just going to keep my money. Even though no service was provided, they did nothig to earn the $220, they will just keep it. I wish this site was more popular.
From now on every great offer i think is too good to be true is going to be checked through this site.
