Ripoff. Vacation from "hell", demand refund

I purchased this vacation package in November. I paid $794.00 for the "basic" package. I also paid $198.00 ($99 pp) for an upgrade to a beach-front motel and $30 for an upgrade on the rental car. Grand total of $1022.

We picked up the rental car with no problem. We even got a free upgrade than the one I paid for. (The lady said I would need cruise control on the way to Orlando). From there, everything went wrong.

Got to the Welcome Center, the lady handed us our packet and we were out the door. My husband heard everyone else talking about meal vouchers so he asked where ours were. She told us it was not included in our package. Gave us directions to our beach-front motel. We were excited and couldn't wait to get there. When we checked in, the lady said there were no more rooms in that building and that we would be staying in a room in the building across the street. My husband told her that we paid for a beach-front room; she didn't want to hear anything about it and continued to check us in. She said she would check with housekeeping to see if there were any rooms available on the beach, and would let us know. So we go to our room (still expecting something nice), and get something I wouldn't let my dog stay in. The room stunk, had a very outdated kitchenette, the mini-refrigerator had an inch of water in the bottom of it, the burners were pulled out of the stove, lightbulbs were burned out and one of the beds had a broken frame. Plus our beach-front turned out to be the boat slips and fishing dock.

We went back to the desk and told the lady we weren't happy at all and that's not what we paid for. She started getting hateful and said that's where we were supposed to be. Supper in their restaurant was a big joke. I paid almost $30.00 for 3 of us to eat slop. We went back to our room, but couldn't handle it anymore, so we called the Welcome Center and told them that we weren't sleeping in that dump. So that lady sent us up the street to the Paradise Beach Resort. That place wasn't too much better than the first one. Still didn't get the beach-front room I paid for.

The next morning we go to the presentation at the Palm Beach Shores. Going in, we told the man we weren't interested. He got hateful, wanted to know why we were there in the first place, that we were taking food out of someone elses mouth (we didn't even eat their complimentary meal).in order to get the cruise voucher we had to stay there 90 minutes. We put up with that jerk for 90 minutes, then he sent his supervisor over and had to put up with him for about an hour.

Only have a few complaints about the cruise. We were charged for a can of soda off the honor bar when we didn't use it. The steward swore there was six cans when we got there and only 5 when we left. And they closed the pool and spas way too early. 7pm both nights. The rest of the time the little kids were in it (with no supervision).

In Orlando, we stayed at the Amerihost. Nothing fancy. We checked in and was told we would be there for 3 nights. The front desk calls later and wants to confirm how many nights we'll be staying. The computer said 3, but the voucher only said 2. So we go to the welcome center and that lady tells us that our package has only 2 nights. We told her the front desk has us down for 3, so she calls and the front desk tells her that we're there for 2 nights. So somewhere along the short walk down the hallway, we lost a night.

All in all, this was a wasted week. We spent more time at presentations and trying to get our accommodations straightened out. We didn't even enjoy ourselves and didn't have time to do anything. I'm going to write RPR a letter and demand a refund. Believe me, this is the last time I do business with them and I won't recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for "listening".
