I did fill in work JUST ONCE for this person (desk clerking) and was told to try (as much as possible) hike up prices above what was posted outside on marquee... We live in a VERY SMALL town (about 900 people) and so everyone knows everything that goes on... I was told by this person's wife of other deceptive practices that were practiced on a regular basis... Charging anywhere from $5 to $10 (above the price of the room) extra for use of the on site swimming pool... Charging for use of extra pillows, extra towells, and other housekeeping items, that at any other hotel or motel would be free of charge... This person will call the other motels in town, ask for their prices, and then undercut everyone else in town (or it would appear so on the outside marquee), Then when customers come in, The prices are jacked WAY UP, and the customer is told that the rooms at that price are all filled up and that all the only rooms that are left are "Deluxe Rooms" that are more expensive...
These are not suites we're talking about, just standard rooms...
EMPLOYEES: This man believes in the old addage"something for nothing" (at least where his own interests are concerned) He commonly bilks employees out of what he owes them by not sticking to agreed amounts, paying much less than minimum wage (which becomes obvious when you recieve your check) People in Green River are becoming wise to his practices and will not work for him...
So now, he hires illegal immigrants and pays them under the table (another practice commonly used by this man) for much less than minimum wage... This man has been taken to the labor board several times, but nothing seems to be done... I and countless others have not only seen all of this with our own eyes, but as I said before, His wife (although picky about who she tells) has admiited that all of this goes on... So, remember, When in Green River, DO NOT STAY AY RAMADA LMTD.!!!
