If you receive anything in the mail from Ramada Plaza Resorts, throw it in the trash immediately.
This piece of mail describes a dream vacation basically for free. But you must call in to the company within 72 hours. I called mainly to see what it was about. The man on the line was very nice at first. I told him I was planning my honeymoon and he told me all the great things this package has to offer.
It sounded great until the very end of the conversation when he said, "All I need from you is $ 698.00 to send you your travel package." When I told him he had made out to me that the trip was free because it was a promotion he told me "nothing is free." The whole conversation he was telling me about all of this free stuff. I asked what the catch was several times and he said nothing. If I was going to have to pay $698 he should have told me then.
I told him I didn't have a credit card, but my fiance did but he wasn't home. He asked if there was anyway I could contact him. I told him no. He then asked if I had a debit card or a checking account. When I told him yes he offered to have the funds transferred from my account. I asked could I discuss this with my fiance first and he said no I had to pay the money tonight. I told him that $698 was a lot of money to pay at one time.
He went and got a supervisor who told me I could pay 25% of the $698 tonight and pay the rest later. I told him I would really like to discuss it with my fiance first. He said never mind we will give it to some one else and hung up on me.
DO NOT fall for this crap. If it's a promotion they should let you know up front what your costs will be.instead they wait until the end of the conversation to scandalize you.
