We purchased our brother a round trip ticket to visit us. He lives in Mesa, AZ and we live in Denver, CO. I told him he could either fly or take the bus; his choice. He chose Greyhound so that he could see the countryside on the trip. I purchased the tickets that cost almost $40 more than the Southwest Airlines ticket. That was the worst decision he ever made. Not only was there bus problems on the way to Denver that caused him to arrive 12 hours late, but the advertising was false; i.E. There was no Wi-Fi, seats were horribly uncomfortable and the trip was exhausting. A week later, our brother was to go home so we took him back to the bus terminal. The Denver Greyhound station is like waiting in a homeless shelter where drugs and alcohol are being consumed and hookers are looking for a trick. It was the most embarrassing experience having to wait with our brother there. Then the bus loaded and we said goodbye at 8:30 P.M. An hour later, he called us and the bus was returning to Denver. They said it was an operating problem with the bus. At 3:30 A.M. We went back to pick him up as he was told the bus would not leave till 9 A.M. This caused my husband to have to miss work. We dropped him off again the next morning. Before we even got home, he called again and said the bus was returning again to Denver. What the hell is going on? The Americanos buses involved seem to be very shady. We did not pay for Americanos bus, we paid for Greyhound. This is a shady operation. Never again!
