Quincy Brown
Is relentless and abusive

I have owned Wyndham Worldmark timeshare points for five years, and only used them once. When they were due to expire, again, I decided to sell them and went online to see what the options were; I had no idea of their value or even if there was a market for them. I filled in enquiry forms on a couple of websites, and the next day started to get loads of messages left on my answering machine by a Quincy Brown. As I am in Australia, I couldn't be bothered calling back. Eventually I picked up the phone and he launched into a sales spiel, very convincing, promising over $24,000 for my 8000 points, and you won't have time to voice any objections because he leaves no breaks in the conversation and then he's asking for your credit card to charge the $2500 for marketing the listing. I said I'd think about it, and he would have to call back - what guarantee did we have they would sell the thing after they had the $? He was not happy but after I kept saying no, he agreed to call back the next day.

The next day he did call back, I said we had decided to sell through an Australian company, and he trashed the company, they were no good, they had no idea, they had no buyers, we were wrong and crazy and on and on and on. I couldn't believe it! Again, no opportunity for me to say ANYTHING, any time I tried to speak he said: "shut your mouth, just shut your mouth, you're being really rude, I've never had anyone be as rude as you" and so on - all because I was saying no. I hung up, he called back and immediately he started on his sales spiel again, no chance for me to say anything. I hung up. He called back. I hung up. He called my cell phone, I hung up, this went on for 20 minutes, I stopped answering the phone.

Next day, the same thing, about 5 calls telling me to shut my mouth and listen and so on.

Anyway, I visited some forums and found - gasp - other people reporting similar behaviour. The forum also recommended selling through the Trading Post website, an Australian online classifieds site. So I listed there and literally within 2 days I had a buyer, for close to my asking price of $1/share - which the forum said was the right value. So the transaction went ahead. As I write the transfer documents have been signed by all parties, returned to Wyndham, and the money is due to transfer to my account today, and the transfer will complete when we advise the monies have been received.

This morning my cell phone rang and on the phone: Quincy Brown, he tells me I had arranged to sell my timeshare through them, that we'd been working together all through september, and he was calling so I could complete the listing with them by giving my credit card! With no opportunity to speak in a break, I said what is your name please, and he just went on about how I'd agree to sell my timeshare through his company blah blah. I said the timeshare is sold. He said no you're lying, the timeshare is not sold, don't lie to me, shut your mouth, etc. I hung up. The phone rang again, same thing as soon as I picked up, don't lie to me the timeshare is not sold. I hung up. Phoen rang again, I picked up but left the phone on the desk, I thought it's his dollar, he can waste it. After about 40 seconds I guess he realised no one was there, so he hung up, and called again, and I left the phone on the desk again. The calls stopped then but that's when I decided to write this thing about my experiences - this guy is unbelievable, if he calls you just don't play the game. Even telling him to not call you will not stop him, I ended up yelling DO NOT CALL ME down the phone, he didn't even pause in his drivel. Never struck anything like it and I hope I never do again!
