Oak Island Accomodation's general manager Dick Davis and his staff have a clever scam to rip-off beach property renters from their security deposits. The company refused to return our $1000.00 security deposit after we vacated a property we rented for over $4,000 for a single week. The owner of the property completely fabricated lies that some confetti needed to be picked-up, a cement floor needed to be power washed and a lawn needed reparing. I have witnesses that this is completely bogus! Dick Davis' only offering was to forward our letter of complaint to the owners., a Says he; "my quandry is the property owner is our valued customer, we work for her". He obviosly does not value his customers that rent his properties. I'm launching complaints with Brunswick County tourisim officials, better business, and legal council. Aviod Oak Island Accomodations if you are headed to the beach in that area as you will invariably loose your security deposit!
