I booked air fare through Travelocity on 9/12/09, using my credit card for the charges. On October 13, there was a charge to my credit card account from a company called, "Passport2FunPlus". I called, and was told the charges would be removed, and there was no further need for action. I was told I had authorized the charge on 9/12/09. I knew I had never authorized any charges, and had never heard of this company. I asked if they were connected with Travelocity, and they said, no. I called Travelocity, and asked the same question, and stated my concerns, since I felt sure my information given to Travelocity had been used in a fraudulent manner. They denied having any connection to Passport.., and the supervisor said he had never heard of this company. I called my credit card company to file a dispute, and request a written report to be sent. The person I spoke to was VERY familiar with Passport2fun AND it's connection to Travelocity. I was one of many to call and file a claim regarding the same situation as I had. My charges were taken off immediately, and they took over recovering fees charged to my account. I would highly recommend anyone not to wait for charges to be credited back from Passport/Travelocity. Even if they credit back the charges, I believe they are using the information we give them to profit from consumers who don't question or catch these charges! I called Travelocity back to discuss what I learned, but was disconnected multiple times while waiting to speak to a supervisor. They are such a well advertised company, (cute gnome), I would never have suspected I would be scammed by them in this manner.
My advice: DON'T USE TRAVELOCITY TO PURCHASE TRAVEL. Not worth it.
