Ways to get your money back

Ramada Plaza Resorts tried to rip me off but I was relentless until I got back all $698.00. Maybe I can help you. I called customer service and got the usual 'can't refund after 3 days' crap so I was so enraged this is what I did.

Filed complaints with the Florida Attorney General, the New Jersey Att. Gen, called the Florida fraud hotline, The Fla. Dept of Agriculture and consumer affairs, The Federal Trade Commision, the Ft. Lauderdale better business bureau, the New Jersey Dept. Of Consumer Affairs. Then I switched into high gear and wrote to all the companies that RPR associates itself with to alert them that they are involved with a fraudulant business. Since I got stuff from them through the mail, I contacted the USPS Postal Inspector.

I wrote to Alamo, I wrote to Ramada (the real Ramada), I wrote to Universal Studios, I wrote to the auto show where I filled out the slip of paper promising a dream vacation, I wrote to Carnival Cruise Lines, I wrote to Gov. Jeb Bush, I wrote to the Mayor of Ft. Lauderdale, I wrote to channel 7 in Florida, I wrote to the Ft. Lauderdale newspapers, I wrote to EBay where I saw people trying to sell this package to un-suspecting bidders, I wrote to SquareTrade, which was listed on the EBay auction as a company that certified travel packages.

Then I called back customer service and asked for a supervisor named Tara and asked who her supervisor is. She gave me the name Robin Walters and her fax number.

Then I wrote a non-threatening, polite letter to Robin Walters and asked for my money back. At the end of the letter I wrote that she had 5 business days to refund my money or all the letters and contacts listed above would be mailed. I faxed her this letter and also sent one by certified mail.

I called customer service 5 days later and asked to speak to Robin. After being on hold for about 30 seconds, the rep said my money would be refunded as per the president of the company. I called my credit card company 4 days later and there was a credit for $698.00.

My suggestion is to be relentless and write and call any and all people and/or companies that have any connection whatsoever to RPR and complain, complain, complain and document all the names and dates you speak or write to from RPR and all the agencies listed in this letter. Then write a cordial letter as a very dissatisfied customer and request a refund or all the above agencies will be contacted. Send certified mail, fax a copy and give them a few days. Then call again.

It worked for me and I hope this inspires alot of you to do the same and hopefully get the same results-your money refunded.

Good luck to all.
