I was travelinng on Flight 1897 on 2/13/03. My company had switched me to a later flight and I had to call their frenquent flyer number, because I am one, and asked them to reserve me a window seat since I need to get some sleep on the flight home, because I was due to work at 11pm on the 13th. They told me no proble. Well low and behold this did not happen. I was not assigned any seat for the flight. I was stuck in a center seat. I called the 800 # and asked them to fix the problem and they told me the flight is under airport control to see the attended at the ticket counter so I did. T hey made me wait until 10 minutes before departure and then told me that they could not help me I would have to take the center seat. Very irate at this point I proceed to board the plane. I am stopped at the door of the plane and am told I can not bring my carry on Breif case because there was no room to store it. It was to big to fit under the seat and there was no room left in the overhead compartments. They checked my breifcase. Upon my arrivial at philadelphia international airport, my breifcase was sent via the baggage claim. I new this was going to be a problem. I get to the baggage claim and find the briefcase on the belt and half of my belongings are spread over the belt. Missing is a New Warteford Roller ball pen set an oak wood personalized pen given to me by my 5year old daughter and a Fossil wristwatch. I put a claim in and receive a letter by mail that there is nothing they can do and that they are not responsible for my lost belongings. As i see it they are! They are the ones who would not allow me to keep my breif case with me. They checked the bag and sent it to the baggage claims, They are the ones who allowed others to bring more than one carry on item taht prevented me from keeping my personal belonging with me. They are cowards and will not make good on my personal belongings as a result I had to tell my 5 year old daughter when she did not see the pen that she gave me and she began to cry because the pen was lost!
