The disappointment came from the entire return trip. Flight 1574 - Los Angeles to Phoenix was behind schedule. After a long wait onboard, the Pilot announced the planes fuel gauges were not working properly and all passengers would be exited from the plane to board a different one.
Because of the flight delay in LA, my connecting flight from Phoenix to Milwaukee was missed.US Airways staff announced passengers going to Milwaukee would be re-routed from Phoenix to Philadelphia. We were given hotel vouchers and new seating E-TKT’s. I now missed a scheduled work day due to the delay.
I checked into the Fiesta Hotel in Phoenix without luggage and had roughly three hours to try to sleep and hop on the hotel shuttle to return back to the airport, for Flight 1194 to Philadelphia. After arriving in Philadelphia, the assigned gate F34 for Flight 3693 Philadelphia to Milwaukee was changed. What could go wrong kept on going wrong. Once on board flight 3693, we were exited off the plane due to aircraft maintenance and re-boarded on another plane at 8:55pm from Philadelphia to Milwaukee.
After waiting at baggage claims for my baggage that never came, someone from US Airways finally announced that baggage from Flight 3693 could be picked up in their office. I now had a two hour drive from Milwaukee to Green Bay not to miss work Tuesday.
I want to be compensated with more than $20 for my review. I lost a day’s wages, sleep, and endured gate/time changes, delays and re-routing with your airline. I would like to fly US Airways again, but I would like the airline to pay for a redo of this exact trip so that I can write a better review and actually enjoy my experience with US Airways.
