My wife booked a hotel reservation thru Hotels.com, for Chesterfield Hotels Suites in Miami Beach. She received a reservation confirmation number, however when my wife arrived at the hotel she was told that they did not have a reservation for her and had no occupancy. She was told that she would have to take it up with Hotels.com; so she called Hotels.com only to get hung up on four times in a row! Her last attempt, she to the customer service representative Don't hang up on me and he said ok just hold on a minute, I'll be right back with you and she was placed on indefinite hold. I guess the joke was on her!
Note getting anywhere with Hotels.com, she went back to the counter of Chesterfield Hotels Suites and told them that Hotels.com kept hanging up on her and was told that they did not have a reservation for her and had not occupancy and that she would have to leave the hotel!
Much to my surprise, when I received my credit card statement I was billed $377.64 for the stay! Seem that they found her reservation after all! I first called Hotels.com and was surprised to get right thru to customer service, I was told by a seeming pleasant man that I would have to take it up with Chesterfield Hotels Suites, because they are stating that my wife was a no show!
I called the hotel to complain and first was put on hold for like 10 minutes, so I waited an hour and called back; again I was placed on hold, so I hung up and called right back and I told the girl don't put me on hold again. Finally able to explain the situation to Chesterfield Hotels Suites, I was told, that I would have to take it up with Hotels.com. Sounding like a runaround to anyone?
I am currently fighting the charges thru AMEX, we will see how that goes. Bottom line Don't use Hotels.com!
