Ramada - Imperial Majesty
Misleading vacation package, more like jail time!

For those of you who have not yet paid, do not!!! You will be on a strict schedule, not much of a vacation when your on someone else's time.

Well to start, my girlfriend bought a "discounted" vacation from these guys after receiving a letter in the mail saying we've won a vacation. It seemed legitimate, we paid them some money, like 300 each plus 100 each for port fees.

They sent us our itinerary and we were satisfied by what we saw. Booking references for our rental car, hotel names, cruise dates, etc. We were good to go.

So i kept calling these guys to make sure that we would be taken care of once we landed in Florida, and that we would not be stranded with no hotel or rental car. They treated us great because i think they thought we were on to them.

For you people who have already paid and have no choice but to go on this trip - do not hesitate to keep bugging these worms, its worth it!

So we met a lot of people on the cruise that were "in the same boat" as us. Lots of fellow Canadians that had been scammed into coming to Florida. Some of which got it really bad. Upon arriving in the fort, a couple we met were told that their trip had been canceled, they had no car, no hotel, nothing, until they raised hell at the welcome center, where they were at least given a room.

Here is a warning for you people... You are going to be told to go to a resort tour in order to get your cruise vouchers. These guys at the time share resort are the most pushy, slimy, worm-like, sales people i have ever dealt with. Do not give in... And if you happen to be interested in buying a time share, say no until the 3rd guy comes out with the final offer. You will get a much better deal.

The funny thing was... We never had to show the voucher that we were given once the tour had been completed. Our names were already in the cruise line's system. They just tell you that you MUST attend and this is a pure lie.

The cruise will try to sell you all kinds of packages for your day in Nassau. They wanted 50 bucks each for a snorkeling tour which was fun, but only lasted like 2 hours. If you just want to go to the beach there are public beaches which are free.

Once you get to Orlando you will be asked to attend another resort tour to get your universal studios vouchers. I told them to go F* themselves, and bought our own passes, its just not worth 3-4 hours out of your valuable vacation time.

Warning... The buffet at the Ramada 1000th is absolutely disgusting, i have never felt so sick after a meal before, and all i ate was vegetables and cheese pizza.

So the message is... My girlfriend and i each spent 2000 CAD including airfare, souvenirs, Universal passes, drinks on the boat... Etc. For that kind of money you can go on an all inclusive and you will not be on Ramada's time! It was fun, but they do not give you much freedom... Its like glorified jail time, seriously, the food proves it.

On a good note, Fort lauderdale was a great city. Nice beaches. Nice weather, nice people. Bahamas was beautiful too. I would go back for sure, but on my own time!!!
