I had been forced to change my flight multiple times with each time paying a penalty for the change.
This happened until I realized when I could not choose the dates I wanted even though they were just a couple of weeks out. I had called and they told me that the ticket had a one year validity from the initial purchase and this was a policy implemented after my initial purchase. I would have to forfeit all fees paid including postponement penalties and surcharges as a result. I had reviewed all documentation and there was no mention of this one year validity.
These budget carriers give nice discounts to lure you into a trap that could result in an even more expensive trip than normal airlines. More like you will be sometimes be made to pay for something that you never even used.
