I had made a reservation to stay at this hotel in July. When I made my reservations in April the confirmation page stated that the final payment would be due upon arrival. 14 days prior to my arrival I received a phone call and was told that if I didn't pay the rest of the room I would lose my room and my deposit. I was unable to come up with the remainder at the time so I lost my deposit.Co-workers of mine were going to be staying there as well, what I have discovered is that none of them received the phone call and they all paid upon arrival. Why was I different? I have documentation from Wildwood Lodge that states I was not supposed to be paying the remainder until I got there. When I brought this to the attention of the Manger, Katie, she told me that it was all my fault. I will admit that I was upset at the way she chose to handle the problem, so she transferred me to Lance, the General Manager. I left him a message but to this date have never received a returned call.
