Ripoff did not honor room reservation

I made reservations at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco in February. Because of illness, I cancelled these reservations 60 days prior to my expected arrival in late July.

At the time I called in the cancellation, I was told my credit card would be credited for the $292.46 room deposit made in February; they did not credit my card. I called them and they assured me I could use the credit within a year. Before the year was up I called them to make reservations in 2005 and was denied the credit. I wrote letters to the hotel and my credit card company asking to be credited, I never was. They are a dishonest establishment, so be warned.
