My elderly parents received a phone call from an air cleaner company telling them that they had won a free trip to Hawaii. A salesman would drop by, demonstrate their wonderful product and then present them with their prize whether they purchased the unit or not.
They called me and had me attend the presentation. At the end of the presentation (2 hours), we were given a booklet with "Complimentary Airfare for Two!" on the cover. It contained a series of coupons for various destinations. All we had to do was purchase our hotel room from Worldwide Travel Center and the airfare would be free.
We decided to use the Rome coupon instead of the one for Hawaii. After sending in my $3 with the coupon to took 9 months of correspondence to get my 'quote' for a hotel room in Rome, Italy for 10 days. I can have ten nights in Rome for a mere $5300 and then my airfare is free. They won't tell me which hotel or even how many stars the hotel quoted is.
My friend went to Rome at high season last year and paid $265 per night for a four star hotel in the heart of the historic district. It's obvious to me that the cost of the 'free' airfare is in the hotel cost.
Don't waste your time or money with this company.
