Gave me a inferior room, then charged my credit card twice. Manager was rude

We checked in after traveling for 10 hours. I noticed the halls looked quite worn. Thie place should not even be a Clarion site. After we got into our first room my daughter said the remote didn't work and that was the only wat to turn on the TV. We walked down to the front desk to tell them and we were given a remote the housekeeping worker stated that sh didnt feel like walking all the way down to our room so she would tell us how to program the remote.

After we got back we got the remote programmed and I went to call the front desk to tell them it worked. Well the phone didn't work so i went to go back to the front desk and then noticed the door would not close unless you forcibally put all your weight against it. Also the heater wasn't putting out very much heat. They decided to move us down the hall so we start getting ready and i go to that room and the maintenence man says well this won't work either the phone doesn't work here either. We were told to go back to room and they would come get us when they had a room. Well a hour later we have a room we move and finally get to go to sleep. The room was dirty we noticed it but we were all to darn tired and just wanted to sleep.

In the morning we went to breakfast well the room that was in had to be in the 60s it was cold as heck. One if the tables had a empty beer bottle on it from the previous night. We ate then went to leave, I voiced my concerns to the manager Kevin who said he was sorry and took $28.00 off the rate. I told him i really don't think thats enough considering all the problems but said fine. Well the clerk had already checked us out and charged my credit card. The manager said he would reverse that one and charge me the other rate. Well needless to say he didn't reverse anything and i was charged twice for a horrible room.

In the following days i tried to get them to straighten out the double charge it took 15 days from the time i checked out. The manager said i wasnt charged twice, he wouldn't even try to help me he told me to have my credit card company call him. We were treated very disrespectively and with what a feel was prejudice attitude. After speaking with the General Manager and the conversation getting quite heated on both sides he told me he would call Choice customer service to tell them to never give me a reservation for that Hotel to which I asked him do you really think I would ever want to stay their again, after being treated with such terrible service and discrimination. Well in the end the GM fixed my problem but tried to give the credit card company the blame and took no responsibilty for anything that happened at their Hotel.
