I reserved a room on Hotels.com and within a 1/2 hour I noticed that there are several Four Points by Sheraton in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area. I screwed up and got the wrong hotel.
I called Customer Service to ask to transfer the room or cancel the room. They said I couldn't transfer the room and if I cancelled the room, I would forfeit $110.92 the cost of the room.
It was within a 1/2 hour of making the reservation. So, I am out $110.92 because they say that according to the cancellation policy, "Cancellations or change made after 12:00 PM (CST) on 12/11 are subject to a 100% Cost of Stay penalty.
I MADE THE RESERVATION ON 12/13 FOR A RESERVATION ON 12/14/06. Which means that anyone who makes a reservation after 12/11/06 on Hotels.com can never get a refund, EVER, for any reservation they make.
I have emailed customer service, let's see if this works, but I doubt it. So, don't reserve any rooms through Hotels.com, they are rip-offs!!
