I have been scamed. I own and operate my own business and consider myself educated and 'streetsmart' but have been fleeced of over $1700 by bearcountry vacations aka patricia anderson aka apparently many titles. I bought a vaction from bearcountry vacations via cheapairfare on ebay in jan. All $1700 was sent to meridian credit union #1214741 255 10th street hanover, ontario canada n4n1p1 and cashed by j. Merrill marketing rep. Bearcountry vacations aka particia anderson. A complete itinerary was sent to me: 8 days 7 nights all inclusive at the flamingo in cancun nov 22-29 2005. Wilma came along in oct so we rescheduled for mar. Niether the airlines or the flamingo was aware of our booking or was paid anything as of dec 19, which is when i was made aware that bearcountry filed bankruptcy. Thank the good lord we didnt show up at the airport ready to fly to cancun on nov 22 as there would have been NO tickets under our names. We work very hard for our money, do without alot of things trying to keep 2 kids in college etc. And have saved alot of overtime for this trip the last several years. We are extremely angry and will not let this person[s] steal our money. Any advice is appreciated no rest for us until the responsible person is in jail
