We purchased a Cancun trip on eBAy from Travel_Adentures. After paying an initial deposit, we were passed off to BearCountry Vacations to book the trip.
We sent them a deposit along with the reservation request form. Bearcountry sent us an itinerary for a different hotel than the one advertised in the auction listing. We decided to change our dates in order to get the hotel advertised.
A new itinerary for the hotel in the listing was provided and we agreed. Final payment was paid and trip was supposedly booked for July 4 at the hotel advertised.
This was booked May 10. Never heard back from BearCountry until we initiated an email. Patricia Anderson of BearCountry told us that tickets are printed 14 days in advance and mailed to our address. We waited, no tickets. On June 26, I received an email from Patricia Anderson of BearCountry and was told there had been a problem with the booking and we had to accept a new itinerary. She changed us to a sleazy hotel that had a terrible rating on tripadvisory.com. We told her we did not want this and she said then we would not being going on the dates that we had previously agreed upon.
We asked for a refund and she said one would be sent. We waited and... No refund. We Sent complaints to several agencies and Patricia Anderson finally sent us a snotty email saying that she had to wait to get the money back from her supplier and that we would get our refund in 7 to 10 days. Ha! We didn't receive it then either. After that, we stopped getting any response from anyone at Bearcountry Vacations.
Do not do business with Bearcountry Vacations or Patricia Anderson!!!
Read the other consumer complaintss on Bearcountry Vacations or Bear Country Vacations. Do a search on Bearcountry Vacations on eBay's travel discussion board. This company exists only to rip you off! I would be surprised if anyone has ever actually received a vacation from them.
