Ripoff Free holiday scam

My wife phoned Sunshine Travel Escapes on the 28th September regarding a "free holiday" they said she had won and was, in her own words, "pushed into" giving her VISA card number (under the false pretence that the company needed to "verify that she was the VISA card holder"). My wife was then told about the "port tax" she needed to pay, which she did not agree with. Immediately after the call my wife phoned the VISA company to cancel the VISA card but the transaction for 705 had gone through.

I made many phone calls to a Robert Jegle from Sunshine Travel Escapes inc. And sent many emails but none were returned. I was effectively stonewalled.
On their internet site they state that - "we will cheerfully give you a 100% refund within thirty (30) days of your purchase after you return to us your travel documents (because they are transferable)". I emailed that I did not want them to send me any travel documents and that I wanted a full refund into my VISA account.
An advisor from my VISA company advised me to get on the company and go ballistic and not take anything less than a full refund. As I was not able to contact anyone directly I decided to take a different approach. I sent emails to five Consumer Affairs organisations including US National Fraud Information Center and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (http://doacs. State. Fl.Us/) to complain about the company and sent a copy to Robert Jegle from Sunshine Travel Escapes.

This obviously scared him as I got a call from him immediately (refuting all that I had claimed). I recorded this conversation (as evidence) where he said that he would not send out the travel documents and would give me a full refund. Needless to say nothing happened after that apart from the delivery of the travel documents!
I returned the documents by registered post and sent the receipt to my VISA company who used this as proof that I hade returned the goods within 30 days. After 30 days from the initial transaction, the VISA company took back the money and credited my account. Needless to say, Sunshine Travel Escapes did not contest it.
The key is not to give up!
