Discount Global Travel (DGT) called me asking me to listen to their sales pitch for a free Cruise. We ended up buying into the discount travel program after listening to Adam Santangelo tell us a bunch of untruths. Problems started immediately after giving DGT payment. We were told they were out of the free cruises and we would have to be mailed one. When we received the cruise in the mail it was the wrong one. We had to call Adam requesting the correct one to be mailed.

We then tried to book a car rental and were told we would have to pay full price and the discount would be mailed to us, this information was not conveyed to us during the sales pitch. The main reason I bought into DGT was because I was told I would save $6,000 on a Hawaii vacation I was planning. I was also told it would take no more than 72 hours to book. From the day I emailed Adam the Hawaii vacation request, I did not receive a response for 9 days - that is way over 72 hours and the information was still not ready. It wasn't until 16 days after my initial vacation request that I received the information that was originally requested. The $6,000 initial savings that was guaranteed me in the sales pitch, turned out to be only $1,200. That is not what I paid $7,000 for.

From day one of signing a contract, DGT has not done anything that was quoted to me at the time I signed the contract. I have been given the run around and been misinformed on more than one item. My emails and voice mails have taken days to get a response if a response at all. I feel that your company did not provide me the service that was guaranteed me with the $7,000 I paid. I was told by Adam that he would refund my $7,000 since he did not meet my requests in a timely fashion and now Peder Seglund/Henrik is telling me they will not refund my money. What is wrong with that picture? Last but not least, what type of company prints the wrong email address on their business cards and then hands them out to clients? DGT was automatically dissolved as a Corporation since 7/15? How can they be operating legally? I have filed a dispute with my credit card, a complaint with the BBB, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Usa Consumer Complaints.com. I will also be contacting an attorney.
