I recently purchased an airline ticket through Priceline at what I thought was a low price guaranteed. Three days later I see the same flight advertised for two hundred dollars less. When I contacted Priceline they told me that I was locked into the price and that I missed the window opportunity to cancelled (24 HOURS) or changed my ticket. It was written in fine print on another page. Not even written on my reservation page. You make sure you read all the attachment pages. Even Wal-Mart give refunds pass 24 hours. Why are they allowed to do this? I spoke to the Airline that Priceline booked through Air Tran and they said if I had booked directly with them they would be able to credit me the difference. I explained that to Priceline, they said there was nothing they could do. I said I'm not trying to get a refund but want a credit for the difference in the price you guaranteed for being the best you have to offer. I wonder if William Shatner knows about this. I'll never watch the commercial again. I thought I was being careful about purchases made online. So I say to anyone who is looking to book a flight with Priceline don't. You are better off negotiating your own price directly through the airline. When I asked to speak to the supervisor or upper management, they said hold on. A few seconds later, what sounded like the same person to me repeated the same information. I asked to speak to her boss and she said she was as high I as could go. I asked for her full name she game me her first name Kathy and her ID# UU. As I waited for her to complete the information, she said she was done. That was it they were not allowed to give out last name and that was it to her ID#. They were very polite as was I, however, I was not satisfied with their service. I feel scammed out of my money and tricked into believing I was dealing with a respectable company that guaranteed low prices. I even purchased the cancellation fee for $17. That means nothing. It%u2019s for life emergency. I'm stuck with a $335.80 ticket because I can't cancel my flight and book directly with the airline. So watch out Priceline Customers!
