I had the Reservation Reward ripoff happen to me after booking a hotel on expedia.com. Apparently expedia.com passed my credit card info on to them and popped up a window about sign-up for some free stuff. I signed up, but at no time did I give them my credit card info or was notified that I was buying any service or plan.
It showed up on my credit card and I called the credit card company and they removed the charges immediatley without question when I told them it happened at expedia.com. They apparently knew all about it and there was no investigation about it... They just removed it and it never happend again.
If I didn't have anything else better to do, I would of sued expedia.com for passing on my credit card info without my permission.
