As an IBM employee, my company does not support the broadband options currently available in my area. I have been a loyal AT&T customer for many, many, years and I NEED DSL at my home. I have been requesting it for more than ten years now.
My neighbors only walking distance away can get this service.
Due to AT&T choice to deny me service, I am forced to pay over $200 per month for broadband that still does not meet my needs as an IBM employee. That is about $24000 in direct costs to me resulting from AT&T's choice to deny me service.
Oklahoma's AT&T technical support rep said DSL would NEVER be available to me. Clearly the issue is not technical but rather a business decision to deny me service.
I hope one day there is a class action lawsuit against AT&T. I will be an eager participant in once more breaking down this monolopy attitude and behavior that offers excuses rather than service.
