Biggest rip-off

Never in my life have I felt as ripped off as I have been by NCIC. With no other choice of service to use, they charged $40 (minimum amount to register!!!) to accept a call, $17.36 to connect for first 3 minutes and $1.29/minute after! Do the math on that one... How is that even legal?!?!?
