NCIC billed me $16.54 (plus tax and fees) for a 7 minute collect call made through Zero Plus Dialing Company. On the same day MCI billed me $6.13 for a separate 9 minute call, bad enough, but it made the NCIC charge jump out. I complained online to the California Public Utilities Commission. Lo and behold, ten days later NCIC copied me on a letter to the PUC, saying they were issuing a $10.42 credit on my phone bill. Assuming I actually get the credit, I'm satisfied, but I want to warn others to not use this collect call service, and to suggest complaining to your state PUC for overcharges.
