I cancelled my membership with Walt Fitness and gave my 30-day notice. After that, the owner of the business suddenly disappeared and was unable to be contacted for six months. I received 6 months ADDITIONAL charges (~$200) for a gym membership that I cancelled! Finally, after many many attempts to contact the owner, I finally filed a complaint with my credit card company and they disputed the charges.
Suddenly the owner is back in town and decides to contact me via phone. He starts off very polite, then becomes very rude and cursing and threatening. I tell him if he contacts me again I will file a restraining order and he hangs up. Now he is trying to rebuttal the charges I filed with my credit card company.
What a crook!
