The issue that I have with this school is that they kept enrolling student after student and did not increase the size of the school or make allowances for new instructors. So, I was actually being taught by some of my fellow students rather than the instructors, who, for the most part were excellent. There are great ones there, but they are human and one or two people cannot run the whole school. Did I see any of the senior instructors, managers, or masters conducting classes? No. They may have, but I was not privy to it on days when instructors were running around trying to help a large group - this is when they should have been there knowing they had instructors quit. But when it was crowded like that, I never saw them step up.
As a former manager in retail and in restaurants, I think that is what one should do. They would rather overwork their staff. I find it terrible for the money I was and still am as of this date paying for information I learned to find on google.
Secondly, I was badgered into signing a new contract when I did not need to do so. You cannot switch schools or locations without signing a new contract, extending your term. So, this means that no matter how poor their practices get, that one still must pay and stay at the school.
They changed policies and wanted people to buy sparring equipment. This would be fine, if they explained how their new system was going to work to the instructors or staff - They did not. I asked more than one person on how it works and I received conflicting answers. So, I spent my own money getting equipment's and 5 months later, I did not see or hear of anyone using them in class. They may have used it by now, but not for an unacceptable amount of time. So, if you like poor communication. Then sign up here.
The thing that makes me angry is that I wrote two formal complaints and the school has ignored me. I am not saying they needed to change policies or my contract for me, but a response is warranted for a written complaint. I received no answer, nothing.
You can learn the same thing stretching at home, kicking the air for two hours, Googling belt forms and learning them that way. Seriously, it is not worth what they are charging at all.
