San Jacinto College And Instructors
San Jacinto College, Changing instructors without notice, Internet instructors not teaching, Assigning Asian instructors that people don't understand Friendswood

The San Jacinto College school system does not help students learn in an appropriate environment. At this school I have a 4.00 GPA but the system has made some many wrong things to students that have really caused frustration, disappointment and even withdrawals from school on some of my classmates.

First, I signed up for a class 1 month ahead of time with an instructor that was well known for being an excellent instructor and for capturing student's attention with examples and information. I received a class syllabus with that instructor and a notification of the course a Friday prior to classes start date (following Monday). On the first day of class, me and classmates were "kicked" out of the course and assigned to a different instructor. We did not receive notification and we could not get out of the course with a 100% reimbursement. This made many students angry but San Jacinto did not do anything to correct all of these problems.

Second, I signed up for an Math Internet course. The instructor barely made contact with students by emails or some general notifications. There was a problem with the computer program that we used to take our tests and it gave incorrect answers although the answers were correct. I contacted the instructors 3-5 times but she never responded my emails although I made sure she received them. She made an excuse for not responding emails saying that her husband had a knee surgery. Many people dropped the course and although I stayed on it and got an A, I never got answers on my email questions.

Third, I signed up for another course where the instructor was "to be announced." They announced him online, the 1st day of class, when it's too late to learn about the instructor and his teaching style without losing money if wanting to swap or withdraw. The instructor is from Korea and has a very thick accent, low voice that most students can't understand without us asking to repeat what he says constantly. Often, he also doesn't undestand when we talk to him. We just had our 1st test and most students failed. Me and my classmates are currently on the course and don't want to be penalized with a bad grade because we got some mediocre teacher, again, doing a bad job.

Any suggestions on how to stop this is greatly appreciated.
