Ever heard of a hot tub that doesn't get hot? Leaky Spa alert!

OMG, thought I was protected! Bought a hot tub on eBay, it took 2 1/2 months to arrive.By the time I wanted to complain, no-one at eBay would listen because so much time had past since the purchase. Used my credit card, even Bank of America was worthless when it came to saving me from this fraudulent retailer. Bought a spa with a 5 year warranty, thought of course the thing would have to work for 5 years or they would fix it.

The retailer changes their name back and forth between Sports Inc. And O2 Sports. They never answer their phone, so I didn't bother to look up the number. First they made me wait 2 1/2 months for the spa (it was 2 weeks late), then they delivered it with no notice the night before I left on a 2 week vacation. Then it didn't work. Then they hired a repair man and tried to get him to blame my highly paid and educated electrician.

Finally they took responsability, or pretended to. They said the part was on back order and made me wait a month for a part. Then they sent the wrong part. Then they finally sent the right part (after making me wait for 5 weeks). The correct part was installed. Then I noticed that the timer for the jets had been wired to the heater. Every day I would set the temperature for 102 degrees, the next day I would go out and the spa would be off, water at about 50 degrees. It took a week of struggling with the timer to get the water to 70 degrees.

Finally I decided to frollic in the COLD spa. That's when I noticed the countless leaks. The spa was missing more parts, lines were missing, the repair man said the heater was too small. Remember that part that they made me wait 5 weeks for? Well it lasted about 5 minutes, it tanked, and we were back to me with a broken spa again. They sent the repair man to try and fix the leaks, he diagnosed the problem, then for like the 4th time they sent the wrong parts. The repair man said he never wanted to see my nightmare spa again and I should return it.

After talking to my Buddy the attorney, I decided to return it. Discussed warranty of merchanability, and how I don't have to put up with a brand new broken non-working product for years on end. The retailer has a limited amount of time to make it perform as advertised, I do not have to have my life disrupted by dates with the repair man for years on end. O2 Sports, or Sports Inc, what ever they call themselves, then promised to send a truck to pick up the spa.

After about a month I realized that story was just another lie. (They are full of those.) Hired some guys, rented a truck, drove the damn thing back to LA myself. Seeing as how there is obvious fraud involved, I attempted to get Bank of America to reverse the charges. They were hopeless and I decided it would be easier to deal with a judge. So last week I sent out the warning letter, in about 10 days I will file a law suit.

I'm going to sue both corporations, the one individual shareholder and the one officer, appears to be his girlfriend. She owns a house, so I'll put a lien on her house and garnish her wages if I have to. Too bad they don't just return my money, this has been an unending night mare. DO NOT BUY A HOT TUB ON EBAY! Do not buy a spa on ebay! Yes they are cheap, but you are better off to pay the price for a Sun Dance. I love my new hot tub.
