On 10/17/04 My wife and myself bought a French Femail bulldog from Trisha slack for $1890.00 CASH ONLY. At that time trisha said she didn't have $10.00 change so I gave her $1900 Cash and told her to keep the change. Trisha signed my contract Steve Slack and did not put purchase price on my copy, but had me sign and initial her copy with the amount paid.
Three hours after we got home the puppy became very ill. My wife at that time called Trisha and told her what happend. Trisha said the puppy might have PARVOVIRUS and would need immediate vet care or she might die. Trisha said she had to take her Daughter to the air port and would not be home to take the puppy.
Trisha gave us her Vets phone number and my wife called and talked to a answer machine. We left a message that this was a emergency and to please call us back. We waited two more hours and our puppy became sicker. We then took the puppy to a all night emergency vet center, where the puppy tested positive for Parvovirus and parasites.
We waited five hours to talk to a vet and she said the puppy might not make it through the night. Next morning I had to take off work to take the puppy to our family vet. After three more days on a IV our puppy had no hope and had to be put down 10/20/04. Trisha or her vet never called to inquire about the puppy.
I called Trisha and told her I would like my money back and she offered me a pup, but my vet said her house is contagious air born parvovirus for up to six months. Finally Trisha agreed to refund my money only in payments and said she didn't have any money and small claims would only have her pay fifty dollars a month. Trisha also said if I don't like that she said SUE ME.
I have filed a small claims suit to recover my money. If any one else had a problem please contact me so we can work together to get our money back and close her down.
