Ok so I signed up to iContact a while back. Was paying happily and even upgraded my account.
The due to financial restraints I decided to cancel my account. So I emailed them and... Nothing.
So a couple of days later (today 11/06) I contacted them via their chat system and "trish" was totally unhelpful and basically hung up the chat before I was finished.
Here is the chat transcript...

Joe: I sent an email to cancel my account but I have not received a response
Trisha: Hello Joe. Can you give me your user name so I can check this for you?

Trisha: How long ago did you send the email?
Joe: 2days I think Trisha: One moment Joe.
Trisha: Did you receive an email from Mitch Thurston offering you two free months of service with iContact or a 20% discount?
Trisha: your choice.
Joe: No nothing. We have decided not to continue as we have another project that is sucking up all finances and this is an expense.
Trisha: Okay I see he has it scheduled to cancel so I will let him know and you should not be charged for December.
Trisha: Is there any other way I can be of assistance?
Joe: Should there not be a refund? This is taken in advance is it not?
Trisha: We do not offer refunds.
Joe: Well you have taken money from me for a service. I will persue it legally if I have too
Trisha: Since you did not cancel before the 1st of the month, the system automatically bills the card on file on the 1st.

I was trying to type a response but she hung up before I could get it typed.
I would highly recommend that people avoid this company or be very careful about going into contract with them.
