Were told that we had to buy 60 months warranty at $139.95

This might be an old trick but I never had someone look me straight in the eyes and lie. I like this store and the products are first rate. My wife and I first called their toll free number for credit approval on a stove. After being approved for a line of credit we drove to the I45 & NASA Rd1 location in Webster, TX. We arrived one hour before closing and was helped immediately upon entering. I told the salesman of our preapproval of the product we chosen and we started the paperwork process. I declined the Credit Life, Credit Disability and the Involuntary Unemployment coverage but was informed that Property Insurance was required at $19.61. No big deal, so we agreed. After the contract was printed out we all sat down to do the signing. It was then that we were informed of the 60 month warranty at $139.95. My wife asked if we had to have it and he looked both of us in the eyes and said yes we had to have the coverage. We agreed and signed the contract. On the way home with the stove roped to the top of our car we decided that this was wrong. So the next day we called the toll free number again
and were imformed that the coverage was not needed. All we have to do is write a letter to decline the extra coverage and our account will be accredited. Just want everyone to know what happened to us and that you don't have to buy the extra warrenty.
