Ez movers gave us a quote 30 days prior to our move and we gave them a $ 100 deposit. They based the quote on information we gave them from 2 prior moves with the same amount of furniture. Upon arrival, the foreman advised us that the truck was not large enough to accomodate our stuff. They also told us that the cost would be double of what we were quoted.
After trying to work something out with the main office and foreman for 30 minutes we had to ask them to leave. Just before they left, the four movers had been standing around our island in the kitchen, where my husband had just left the keys to our home and his car. After they left, we noticed that the keys were missing.
We reported the missing keys to the the main office and asked for our deposit back since we were misquoted. They refused to issue a refund even though they misquoted us and didn't bring a large enough truck. I plan to file a police report about the stolen keys.
