We bought plans from this company in and they took about 1 month before they even sent me my plans via email, I mean how hard it to send an email attachment is?
Also you we required to send in a signed statement and agreement for a serial number of your airplane, after I mailed that in, I never received that either, I emailed nicely about it, and still no serial number, emailed again and nothing, finally I threatened to do a chargeback on my credit card, then I received a serial number with a nasty email stating I did not need the serial number to build the plane. And some lame excuse.
Well recently I had a Hard Drive Crash on a year old laptop, and I did lose a few things, and my passwords to my Plans was gone in my outlook file, so I again Nicely asked for my passwords, and mentioned that I had to basically threaten them last time to get my serial number, so please do not have this happen again..
Here is the exact email I got from them...
Dear Sir,
While we sympathize with your loss, our policy states on the download email that you have 24 hours to download and save the plans and passwords, and it is the responsibility of the customer to keep them in a safe place. Affordaplane Aircraft is under new management, and we are unable to make exceptions to this policy.
If you would like to order a set of E-Plans, you can order them from the web site, and we will get them right out to you. Thank you for your consideration.

Well I could not believe this, Pay again for something that I already paid for? I do not think so. Also it did not mention anywhere on the web site or email or anything that if I lose my passwords you would have to re buy the plans, that is simply absurd and UN ethical.
So I sent an email about what I though about that and threatened to sue them in small claims court for my money back, here is the exact email response that I received.

You need to understand something, and I am going to explain it to you. I had every intention of sending you your passwords, and then you send that bullshit email trying to intimidate my secretary. I don't know why people like you do the things you do, threatening good people for no reason when they have bent over backwards to provide a good product, for a VERY small price. There was no reason in the world to send that kind of email to us, when most airplane companies don't even answer their emails. And that's a fact. We answer our mail just fine, always have, and always will. Who cares how fast you answer your own email. You cannot bullshit me; I have a lot more experience with these things than you do. And I own a lot more companies than you do. But you want a pissing match, and we are not going to play this game with you.
No, you were trying to intimidate us, just like you did last time. And you were flat out wrong for that, when it was YOU, who lost your passwords, and were asking US for HELP. Not to mention every other one of our thousands of customers have done just fine with this policy. And they are ALL happy customers, who love this airplane with everything they have. And they will defend it too. So we know the score. Legally, we have done everything we said we would, our contract is fulfilled with you, and if you have any knowledge of the law at all, then you should know this. But again, you threaten us with no legal grounds to stand on.
You have every right to tell your story, to anyone you want to, that you lost your passwords, sent us a threatening email telling us to hurry up, and we decided we don't want to play that way. When you have your hand out asking for help, from something you did yourself, you don't go threatening people that are the ones helping you. But the second you step over the line, and it slanders us, or libels us, or causes the company damages, I will have you in a court of law so fast your head will spin. And I will have your servers shut down with an immediate cease and desist order. And then sue you for libel and slander, including defamation. We've done it before, it's like eating popcorn, and we know we will win. Absolutely win.
So before I waste any more time on this, you need to first apologize for trying to intimidate us, and we can go from there. It's awful damn petty of you to say what you have over 25 bucks. You should know life is too short to major in minor things, like you have. Especially when you say you have bought materials for the plane, when you can't even supposedly print or view the plans. And then b*tch about 25 measly bucks. That doesn't give ANY one the right to try and intimidate us, and we absolutely will do everything in our power to stop people like you from intimidating anyone doing business on the internet, or anywhere else. You can bet your house on it.
You think about it, and you get back to me at your convenience. We appreciate that you want to build this airplane, but we absolutely will not be intimidated by anyone, period.

Do not buy any plans form this compnay, as i heard this has happend before just in one week of my posting this info in a newsgroup i already had 2 guys email me with teh same type of problem, except tehy never received their plans, and was treated rudly and as if they were the bad guy..
Do not buy and patronize this compnay... I believe it to be a scam, as i have not seen more than one picture of teh same airplane flying... So so far who knows if the thing even flys..
