Yesterday, I was told that it was necessary that I upgrade my current version of Firefox to the latest version. I had already had a problem the last time I upgraded and I was reluctant to upgrade to the latest version, 3.0.15. But, since it was supposed to be more secure and also because certain business administration functions that I had to manage couldn't be managed under the prior version that I was using, I upgraded.
The upgrade took all of a couple minutes. Nice. But, were there any problems? You betcha! First, I manage a company that sells products from over 300 manufacturers. I had ALL of the links to ALL of those manufacturers saved in my bookmarks folder. The upgrade lost all but two!
Then, I also discovered that the upgrade also lost ALL of my saved passwords. Every part of managing my company requires many passwords. ALL GONE.
I'm supposed to believe that these guys know what they're doing? They couldn't write an upgrade that first saves all Firefox bookmarks and saved passwords? They're idiots!
I'm extremely pissed at them right now. I've got to contact many other people in order to retrieve all of the passwords, passwords to credit card processing companies, passwords to business emails, passwords to the admin sections of the website, passwords to manufacturer websites where we have accounts. This should only take a week or so.
Mozilla Firefox programmers... You are idiots!
