Yolanda medini (office manager) thomas grimsley (broker) warning! Don't get scammed by this company

On March 16 I called Low Country Van Lines and recieved a moving moving quote via e-mail. I spoke to Mr. Thomas grimsley and he seemed very nice. I was all set to move on March 31st from Orlando, Florida, to the Bronx, in New York. On the morning of March 31st., not only did the movers show up 5 hours late, but they added more charges and fees to the move in which was never discussed weeks prior. I kept calling Low Country Movers to find out why I was being charged more money than the original contract agreement, but they would'nt answer the phone. My daughter and I had a flight to catch to N.Y., but the movers refused to take my furniture until I paid them more money. They were telling me that I needed to pay for packing materials, liability coverage, more pounds, and cubic feet. I am disabled and I gave them all the money that I had, but they said that that it wasn't enough. I had to call a friend, and borrow the money or else I would have missed my flight, and I would have been stranded in Florida. After arriving in New York I contacted the company to set up a delivery date, but then they added more charges on me saying that my furniture had to be unloaded, moved to another truck, and stored in a warehouse. I have spoken to Yolanda Medini several times, and she was very rude, and I was told that either I come up with the money, or I will not get my belongings. That is extortion! I couldn't believe was I was hearing. I had reported them to the BBB, and they had made several attempts to get Low Country Van Lines to respond. Low Country Van Lines never bothered to respond back to them. After I finally managed to come up with the extra money to have my goods delivered, to me, alot of my belongings was damaged. There were broken mirrors, alot of crushed boxes, 2 missing mattress covers in which left my mattresses dirty, and a broken headboard for my daughter's $2,000 Disney princess bed. The driver and helpers all took note of the damages to my things, and I was told to contact the moving company immediatelyso that I may collect on my insurance, but no answered the phone, so I left a message for Yolanda, and she has never responded back to me up until this date. I don't understand how a $1,560 move turn into a $4,836 move, and it took 2 weeks before I recieved my furniture.
