Dishonest fraudualent billing

My husband and I have had Verizion Wireless for over a year now. My husband and I are military and are stationed in North Dakota. We needed a phone to contact our family and since Verion was the only cellphone company with free nation wide calling at the time we went with them.

Soon after that Verizion sent us a letter stating that the were being sued for overcharging people for there minutes during certain time periods in 03. I threw it away. We had no promblem up untill may of 04 when I kept seeing our phone bill over $100. And I knew that my husband and I coudln't have talked on the phone that long.

We are very conscious of how long we are on the phone. Well I got my bills out and started going over them to discover that they changed our calling plan in September of 03. With out our knowing it. I tried calling them and they wouldn't speak to me because the bill was in my husbands name.

I had him call back. My husband is a passive person and will let just about anyone talk him into anything. He talked with customer service. The guy that he talked to blew it off like he was doing a favor to us by switching it back.

Then 2 weeks latter we get another contract in the mail extending our service for 3 months longer than it original was. I had my husband call back again. There was no way in hell i was going to stay with verizon an extra 3 months and give them more money than what we already have.

Need less to say the heard me over the phone. At this point if I couldn't discuss the promblem because my name wasn't on the account they were going to hear me anyway.

Finally I got on the phone and told them I wanted our money back that they had been taking since september of 03. They were supose to credit our account over $300. Well the next month came. We got a bill in the mail in jume they eanted us to pay $110. Had my husband call them back. They told him that if we would of called a few days earlier prior to them crediting our account the bill forjune would have been paid for.

We paid the bill. July came our bill cgain came up to $100. Which they creditied.in August my husband and I took leave to go back home to Kentucky for the whole month. We turned off our phone because verizion does not have service there. We used the phone 2 times in August. Once when we went to leave and then once when we got home. Now it's September ad we got our bill for the month of August and it is $104.. We we have 400 min. A month. Oh!!! And we have to pay it, because they are no longer crediting our account. At this rate we would be better of paying the cancellation fee, and getting another phone from some other company. We would still save $40. A month.
I want the world to know that Verizion wireless is the biggest rip off ever, and that they take you for everything they can. I hope they can hear me now!!!
