My husband and I signed up for an "unlimited" wireless plan with Verizon in August. Turns out it wasn't unlimited. We signed up for this plan after the verizon associate, Rocky in College Station, Texas, assured us that our bill would remain consistent regardless of usage.
Our bill did not stay the same.in September our bill was $1200! (It was suppose to be $89.95/mo) When we protested, we were told that in order to go over 5 megabits per month, we must have been using our wireless for things other than email and online searches as stipulated in the contract.
Rocky, never mentioned that anything besides email and web-searches were prohibited. To be honest, I wasn't really reading to contract looking for things like that, we believe him about the plan being "unlimited".
After a couple of months of calling Verizon and getting put on hold for hours (I'm not kidding), and being subjected to rude and frustrated "customer service" representatives we finally gave up trying to get Verizon to give us the service we were sold. We paid the ridiculously high termination fees and got out of the contract. We learned a very expensive lesson, don't do business with Verizon!
