This has been a six month saga with Canecutter, but to put it simply: They are a commercial printer. I contracted with them Feb. 19th 2004 to print a 344 page book. They claim that the first print run of 1,000 books was lost in shipment (how you can lose a skid of books, I don't know!). After much trouble, they said they would re-print the order and ship again. The week my replacement printing was to be shipped, they said they we're moving their Manhattan offices to the "warehouse".
I haven't heard from them since. The only number I have for them is the Manhattan office number, and that is just an answering machine. Of course they haven't returned any of my calls.
