Safeway Sequim, WA... I have been a customer for over 20 years. Saturday morning at 8:45 A.M... I purchased a few items... I went into the 15 items line. The female checker checked my items and then asked if I wanted to round up for Prostate Cancer... I replied "no thank you"! Then she proceeded to tell me that in the future I must go to another line because I had 19 items... She repeated it again... The store was not busy, and I did not count my items... Big deal 4 items over. I requested the Manager which was Jim Gorden and told him I thought this was petty and picky.instead of calming me down... He made it worse! I was livid... I was the horrible customer... Whatever happened to a smile and good customer service. Whatever happened to, "I'm sorry that happened... Yes that was picky, we value your patronage". All I received was defensive rhetoric!!! So, Safeway will be my last choice in shopping now... I will lean more towards QFC and WalMart and Costco. Safeway will be my very last choice! And... I'm really tired of being asked to round up for a charity... I already checked NO on the pad and they ask me again! So Safeway... You just lost a good customer of 20 years. Not very happy in Sequim!
