Poor Customer Consideration - Checkout

Safeway, seriously! (@ 1425 S. Murray Blvd in Colorado Springs) I go shopping in the morning, and load up my cart (groceries are getting so expensive!). When I go to check out, the ONLY register open is for "15 Items or Less." OK—does that mean if you want to buy more than 15 items, you can't shop at Safeway in the morning? I hate it when I go to the express lane and someone in front of me has a cartload—why would I want to do that to someone else? Safeway, GET A CLUE! Consider your actions from the perspective of the customer. Why not open a "regular" register, instead of an Express register? When I unloaded my items, OF COURSE someone with only three items got in line behind me. I had to explain that it was the only register open, offer to have them go first, etc... Safeway—your cashier did NO apologizing. It was ridiculous! The customer should not be made to be uncomfortable, confused, or be put in a position to apologize due to Safeway's decisions and poor planning! Groceries are getting terribly expensive, so why is the customer getting less and less service?
