5/5/12: First and foremost, I'm a fan of Dunkin' Donuts when it's made right. I used to go regularly in the recent past when my work hours would almost always start at 9-10am in the morning. I still go to the same Dunkin' Donut from time to time now when my work hours are in the am, but I always have to debate on if I want to go and take a risk that my medium French vanilla ice coffee extra extra order is not to my liking when going prior to ~8am, since only a select few employees make it to my liking. I sometimes wonder if Dunkin' Donut standardizes what constitutes extra cream and extra sugar if I, the customer, don't specify how much to put in. If so, why does it vary from employee to employee; is it at the discretion of the employee? My order as specified previously never changes, but the end results seems to varies depending on the employee. For example, there is one female employee that works at the one on Rhode Island Ave in Fall River, who I actively seek, if on duty, to make my ice coffee since she makes it perfectly to my liking every time, even if I have to wait a few extra minutes. I believe she is the store manager, or at least above the regular employees. A recent example of horrible ice coffee actually happened this morning; I decided to risk it and went inside at ~5am in the morning to the same location, a male employee made the same ice coffee I always order with the end result in this case being non-consumable; wait time was acceptable. Of course I forget to check if it was made right while I was there and ended up taking a sip while driving to work; didn't like how it tasted; either very watered down or overly excusive cream. I took 2 more sips to make sure I wasn't be to critical, but had to toss the rest in the trash because it wasn't drinkable for me, such a waste! Maybe I should ask the female employee how much extra of each she puts in my ice coffee, yet the extra extra may not be all there is to it. Could it possibly depend on the amount of coffee, french vanilla flavoring, and/or ice (... And/or other ingredient[s] I may not know about); if so, is it standardized? I tired of being disappointed in such a troubled economy; I'm hoping someone can enlighten me. I have a coffee maker, but choose not to use it because I like drinking my usual ice coffee from Dunkin' Donuts when made right, but I may be forced to seek other alternatives (e.G. Making my own coffee) if this disappointment continues to occur.
