Northern Van Lines Beware - 46 days and no delivery for a 3 day ship!

Joyce Scheinman contacted Northern Van Lines through movers.com in mid March on behalf of Elizabeth Scheinman, to send household goods from Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington to Las Vegas Nevada.

The movers picked the goods up on March 17 at which time Elizabeth was notified that her belongings would arrive in Las Vegas in 7 to 10 days.

By the end of March the merchandise did not arrive and we began to attempt to contact Northern Van Lines. We received the run around for close to 2 weeks with a myriad of excuses including; they did not have the goods, they could not locate
the goods, the goods were not shipped, and then finally the goods were shipped.By Thursday April 12, and close to 4 weeks since the goods were picked up, Stuart Scheinman became involved.
Stuart contacted Northern Van Lines and spoke to Wes who explained that the goods were still in their warehouse in Oregon but could not explain why they were still there.
Wes stated they would ship that weekend. Again on April 16, Stuart called and spoke to Wes who said the goods were loading the following day.
Stuart asked to speak to a supervisor and was given Amys number. Stuart left a message for Amy. On Tuesday April 17 Stuart again called as he did not receive a call back from Amy. Wes assured him that the goods were indeed picked up and should arrive either Friday or Saturday April 20 or 21. Amy called back later in the day on April 17 to state that the goods were indeed picked up and she would call me by Thursday April 19 to advise what day the goods were going to be delivered, either Friday or Saturday April 20 or 21. Amy the Supervisor never called back. Thursday morning April 19 Stuart once again called and Wes informed Stuart that he would call dispatch and find out whether the delivery
would be Friday April 20 or Saturday April 21 and he would call me back in a few minutes. After 3 hours Stuart called again and Wes said he would call dispatch and get right back to me, Wes never did. At 4:30pm Thursday April 19 Stuart again called Northern Van Lines and spoke to John. John read through all of the files, acknowledged all of the conversations and then notified Stuart that the goods were STILL in the warehouse in Eugene Oregon?!!! Stuart requested an owner of Northern Van Lines and was referred to Robert Michaels, 541-855-6300. John explained that Robert was the General Manager and could sort things out. Stuart left a message the evening of Thursday April 19 with Robert Michaels.
Stuart spoke to Robert Friday April 20 8:30 AM, read notes, confirmed, per Shay (the owner), freight loaded the weekend (weekend of April 14). Robert then stated that Shay told him that Elizabeth Scheinman told the drivers to hold the freight, which was not true and in fact we have original copies of the invoice with the projected delivery dates (3/23). Robert then stated the owner, Shay would call me back, this did happen.in addition, Robert and Amy has been avoiding my phone calls ever since.

I finally was able to get Shay, the supposed owner of Northern Van Lines cell number on April 20. I spoke to Shay several time between April 20 and April 30.
Each time Shay stating the goods would be delivered.in fact on Monday April 30 Shay stated the goods were in the Valley and that next stop was Las Vegas where they had 2 deliveries in Henderson but we were scheduled as the next delivery. He then stated that he would call or the driver would call to schedule delivery. I never heard from anyone and left close to 50 emails, and phone calls between April 30 and May 2. At 5:10 PM on 5/2 after blocking my cell number and calling Shay the owner back he finally picked up. When I mentioned who I was he pretended not to be Shay and put me on hold and then hung up.

The goods are all of my daughter Elizabeths belongings. She has no clothes or school supplies and all other items are
on this shipment. This has been a VERY traumatizing situation to an 18-year-old college student that Northern Van
Lines has taken full advantage of. I need an IMMEDIATE response to this letter.
