My husband and I hired Hastings Stained Concrete to stain and finish the concrete floors in our home. Our first meeting went well, with Mr. Hastings inspecting our floors, giving me a quote and showing me his portfolio of jobs to get an idea of what I wanted and then we didn't see him again until problems arose.
Two young men started the job by patching about half of the tack strip holes and although we bought the extra, very costly overlay, they put down a skim coat about the consistency of primer. Upon inspection, I complained due to incomplete patch work and the quality and thickness of the overlay which didn't even cover the entire floor. The employees called Nick Hastings and he assured me they would re-do the patching and overlay correctly.
Due to my child being injured in an auto accident, I was in and out for the majority of the rest of the project, where they etched crooked, nonuniform lines, improperly stained (and left debris, bugs, trash, overlay trowel marks, etc.
